Slash announces first US tour dates in support of up-coming album Apocalyptic Love and plans for an extensive Fall tour.
2012 is shaping up to be an amazing year for Grammy Award winning guitarist Slash. He closed out 2011 riding high on the success of his landmark, self-titled debut album which managed to take the Billboard top spot for Rock Album, Hard Rock Album and Independent Album as well as the #3 spot in the Top 200. He also joined Ozzy Osbourne on the Scream tour Read the Technorati Scream Tour Review.
On April 14th Slash will be joined by the other original members of Guns N Roses for a live performance during their induction into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. With several successful projects under his belt, including Velvet Revolver, Slash's Snakepit and his widely acclaimed debut release, Slash recently released the album cover art for his forth-coming follow-up release, Apocalyptic Love.
Apocalyptic Love, which will feature Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, is set to hit the streets on May 22, 2012. The band will be hitting the tour circuit as well as several major music festivals in support of the album.
If you only see one concert this year: Avenged Sevenfold, hands-down. There's no band out there that can even compete with them. They are the musical punch-to-the-face that metal fans have been begging for.

Taking a momentary break from their current tour schedule, Avenged Sevenfold rolled into Atlanta to headline as well, a one-off show with support from two of the hardest rocking bands on this summer's tour circuit, Seether and Alter Bridge. The explosive, power-packed performances of all three of these bands made it a concert lover's dream come true. Shadows' picture is gracing this post as well and I've also added the concert review video for Avenged Sevenfold--because they fucking rock--and because the first time I ever saw them live, when I reviewed Uproar Festival 2010, Shadows was wearing his SLAYER T-SHIRT!As soon as I recovered from the shock of his stage entrance <-- editorial review here as well, of Seether and Alter Bridge), I noticed his shirt. This photo still makes me smile whenever I see it.
Have to re-upload the Welcome to Rockville videos and the Madlife interview also--apparently the new Windows 7 movie maker bumps uglies with Youtube's video processor--and not in a good way. When I've finished that I'll definitely be putting together the 2010 A7X Uproar video as well as the Anthrax and Slayer videos.
I hate shooting when I review a concert, prefer to headbang and take notes--Seriously! I even headbang when I'm supposed to be shooting! but when I do shoot it bothers me to have all of those photos left over knowing fans would love to see them. So more videos up-coming, as well as the Slayer 30 year celebration video.
