Beautiful Woman of the Month

Got this from Angela.
Thank you so much!

It's BEAUTIFUL WOMAN MONTH & TAG, YOU'RE IT!

Did you know that it's Beautiful Women Month?

Well, it is and that means you and me!!!

I'm supposed to tag FIVE BEAUTIFUL WOMEN, and you are one of them !!!
Below is a wonderful poem Audrey Hepburn wrote when asked to share her "beauty tips." It was read at her funeral years later.

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness..

For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.

For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.

For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.

For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.

Now for my 5(+) tags:
Difficult decision because I wouldn't have anyone on my sidebar if I didn't truly believe they are wonderful. So I went over 5 - sue me!

My oldest and dearest blogging friends are first of course.
they have been there for me through thick and thin.
The voices of reason.
The voices of pure womanly insanity.
I love you both.
Jenn at JennSchall.
And the missing-in-action-half-the-time Vadergrrrl.
I counted them as one tag.
Noonie, my hero, who has been through the ringer and never fails to make me laugh through my tears. You know in the movie Forest Gump when Cpt. Dan is riding the mast through the hurricane spitting venom and screaming at God... reminds me of Noonie, only she's prettier and has a better laugh.
Brighton. I see much of myself in her. Many of the same questions and struggles to be a better woman and a better person. Always questioning herself, her life, her ability to do everything she needs to to make her world right, yet showing the strength and power that every woman should admire.
LingLing at Large Marge.
My ultra hero, she always sticks up for the wronged, points out the stupidity in our society and does it in a way that makes me giggle my head off.

My mom Of Course!
She doesn't have a blog, but she is definitely beautiful in heart mind and body, not to mention having a wonderful soul full of generosity and wisdom. We all want our daughters to grow up and do well, to have a better life than we had, and when I think about Cheyenne my hope for her is that she is like her grandmother. Already she exhibits many of the same qualities and character as her grandmother. A point she brags about with pride.

I got my inner spirit from my mom. My heart and hers are very much alike.
And like every girl, when she finally reaches the age to appreciate all of the things her mother has given to her, I am still trying to follow in her example, to make her proud of me, to live up to the high standards she sets for herself.

I am thrilled to be working with her.
I still have much to learn from her.

I would also have to tag Cheryl at California Hammonds.
Although she is no longer with us, her strength and the legacy she left behind are a constant reminder to me that everything I do impacts someone's life. That we mothers live on through our deeds and how we are remembered by others, our daughters especially. And that time is short, the clock is always ticking, I still have time to do some good. Using her example I can make myself a better person.
We should never forget her strength. We should all take some part of it into ourselves. We should use her example to be stronger women in the realization that all we are is what we give to others in the end.

And that cancer touches us all.
We need to take care of ourselves. And each other.

For my last tag (taking one more for all of us) I would tag my entire sidebar.
These are the women I look to for inspiration.
They are all:
Funny.
Sensitive.
Gifted.
Generous.

And, of course... beautiful.
