HNT Christmas Tree

    blogging
    I've been working and writing.
I've barely had time to get ready for Christmas, which is very unlike me. I'm usually fighting the urge to put up my decorations too early.

The latest article is up on blogcritics.
    A Photograph of My Father
But I just got the lights up on the tree.
I don't even want to think about the holiday shopping I'll have to do this weekend. I'd better get Christmas-y real fast.

    Happy HNT!
    See the man, Os.

David Eddings once described a character in a novel as having "a wealth of pale blonde hair". Looking at this shot, I have to say that description fits you to a T. Look at all that beautiful tasty hair. And the twinkling Christmas tree behind you just sets you off nicely.

    Happy HNT! Thanks for sharing.

It seems that every year Christmas becomes more and more a thing we 'have' to do then one we want to do. I to have been so busy that I've had no time to sit and enjoy what it is I love about this season. I must make time because the list of things that I ought to do is becoming much too long.

You gotta take a little time out, girl! Glad you got things up in time for this week, at least!

You look beautiful in that picture! I didn't even notice the tree wasn't decorated. :-)

Hope things slow down a bit so you can exhale.

I wrote an article and it was published at blogcritics answering your question as to my interest in the ball turret gunner. Hope you like it!

FC, that was an especially moving article. It reminded me of why I still shudder when I read The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Coleridge. Nightmares from my childhood of dying at sea, alone. Terrified.

One of the reasons that I say I do not love poetry is because most of the poetry I feel connected with is dark, and the reasons for the connection are dark as well. It seems oxymoronic to say that I love something that stirs up painful feelings. And yet I must say that I appreciate it, as I appreciate the new eyes that you've given me in reading 'The Death of the Ball Turret Gunner'.
