  *** HNT Sting

I met Sting while he was still with The Police.
He invited me to come back to England when he started working on 'The Dream of the Blue Turtles'. He was going to take me into the studio so I could start learning music production. I was in High School. My mother put her foot down with a resounding thud. Not that that would have stopped me.

Never the less, I didn't go.

I do wonder now what my life would be like if I had made another decision.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
    To where it bent in the undergrowth;

The Road Not Taken ~~ Robert Frost

    Happy Late HNT.
    See the man, Os.

I hate the road not taken. Not the poem, but the road itself.

Like Sage said, it could have turned out bad. But that's still cool you met him!

I was going to crack some lame joke like 'did he ask that you not put on the red dress tonight?', but somebody beat me to the Roxanne allusion. So I'll just say this picture is just so totally cool.

That's cool! I don't think we should waste too much time with the "what might have beens", though. We'll never know, so better live happy with what we've got now ;)

I had my picture taken with Vince Gill once. He didn't invite me anywhere though.

That's a great picture and story.

Shelley, I'd known him for a while.
He knew I was going to college to learn radio production. I doubt he wanted me for that ;)

Rage, Nope. No resentment. She introduced us.

She was on the road in Europe with Supertramp at the time and didn't think I should be in the UK alone. I understand.

          And yet...
